I’ve become fascinated by bold Asian flavors in my home in Southern California. I love to spend my off hours exploring the Asian neighborhoods in Los Angeles and their tiny mom-and-pop restaurants that serve Korean, Japanese, Thai, and Chinese food. I created this recipe to reflect the sticky sweet-tangy-spicy sauce that makes for remarkable chicken wings. These wings are hearty enough for an entrée but work nicely for an appetizer, too. The soba noodle salad can be made ahead. The slaw tastes even better the day after it’s made. SERVES 6
